Our Journey of Compassion and Community Transformation
Peer Education in Task Community Based Organization (PET CBO) was established in response to the growing social and economic challenges facing vulnerable populations in Thika and surrounding communities.
What began as grassroots volunteer efforts evolved into structured community programmes aimed at addressing:
Limited access to education
Child vulnerability and neglect
Economic hardship
Health challenges
Social exclusion
PET CBO initially focused on providing essential humanitarian support including food, clothing, and psychosocial care to orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and struggling families.
Over time, the organization expanded into sustainable development interventions emphasizing:
✔ Education Support
✔ Child Protection & Care
✔ Community Empowerment
✔ Psychosocial Wellbeing
✔ Livelihood Strengthening
✔ Support for Disabled & Elderly People
Today, PET CBO continues to deliver community-driven solutions that promote dignity, resilience, and long-term transformation.
